SCHOONHOVEN, PRINSES BIRD VASE 1923

This is an early Schoohoven bird vase. Model #105 is in the first 3 production years. This pattern, however, dates to 1923. Any piece of Gouda pottery with animals or humans on it is extremely rare.

what a beautiful collection and a great blog! I have only seen a few gouda pieces before, so to see them here en masse is quite stunning. Some of the designs remind me a lot of some British potteries of the early-mid C20th: Poole, Clews, Hancocks, Decoro.

If i didn't have my own pottery collection already (porcelainporn.blogspot.com), i might consider collecting Gouda - it's beautiful.

what a beautiful collection and a great blog! I have only seen a few pieces of Gouda before and was struck by the wonderful colours and patterns. They reminded me a lot of some British potteries work of the early/mid 20th century: Poole, Clews, Hancocks, Decoro. If I didn't already have a collection of pottery on the go (porcelainporn.blogspot.com) I would be more than happy to start collecting Gouda.

Also, I see that you're a poet - i shall have to dig a little deeper on the net and have a read for myself. My partner (callumjames.blogspot.com) is also something of a wordsmith and all round createur - i'll tell him about your blog.

best regards,
Russell
